The
children's dad had been killed. That Christmas there
would have been nothing for the children under their
tree, aside from a couple of little presents scraped
together by their elementary school teacher.
Luckily, One Special Christmas had the privilege of
making their Christmas dreams come true.
Christmas, 2003
Sue and
Steve come in, and they are bringing presents. The
kids are hopping around, giddy with laughter. Their
mom starts to cry. Then, Sue tells the kids to sit
down and close their eyes. Quickly, they do.
After maybe a minute, they tell the children they
can open their eyes: Steve and Sue are standing with
two new bicycles. The kids' eyes get big as saucers
and their mouths drop. They are speechless.
Steve says, "I think this one here has (he says
the one boy's name) on it!"
The boy bolts upright where he is sitting, eyes bigger
than ever. Then it hits him... "THAT'S
ME!" he yells. And he jumps off the seat, runs
over and throws his arms around both Sue and Steve.
"Oh, thank you!" he yelps. "I
love you!"
